I am fine with flashing a EURO1 to APAC2 and back to EURO1. However, my trick is to use the EURO1 model data package in the very same APAC firmware... I have found a EURO1 product code, 0536348 ALPS WHITE, listed inside. If I use the EMEA firmware, I get the same problem like yours...

If you are located in U.S. and your service provider is Cingular / AT&T, then you are better off buying the D820. The reason is that D820 is a quad band phone but D600 is a triband one. In some areas (mostly smaller towns) Cingular / AT&T is using 850Mhz bandwidth which is supported by D820...
