Lots of things affect how long a particular wu takes, not just the number of steps. You may have a very simple molecule with 1000 steps, or a very complex molecule with the same number of steps. Obviously there are a lot more ways a complex molecule can fold, so the process takes much longer...

Well I'd start by questioning why you hate some of your friends so much. Maybe there is some insecurity there on your part. If you think about and decide yeah you want new friends anyway... well... go for it full throttle... volunteer, join groups, make it a priority.
