I completely agree. VOD was farce, this is a lot more subtle. It's not aimed at the family audience, so doesn't have to appeal to young kids like VOD did. I hope it is given a chance to develop, it could be very good.

I totally agree! I think that anyone only seeing the films not having read the books will struggle to understand by the time we reach the last film - so much has been left out. (Especially if they skip the Gaunts etc.) The films kind of ruin the books for me as well because I lose the pictures...

I think it's far more disturbing and sad than the book. The book didn't make me cry; the movie completely got to me. The three frienRAB I went with were in tears too. I do recommend it.
