I got to see this last week and thought it was superb.

Quite the shitstorm in here, huh? I liked the poem. The last line might be a little too melodromatic, but really that isn't enough to make me have a problem with this piece. Very nice imagery, and despite the fact that I don't know about the historical relevance, I still enjoyed this.

Nah don't bother. I'm a big fan of Bale but this film is a shocker. If you enjoy seeing a couple of men locked up in a bamboo hut in Vietnam doing very little for 90 minutes then go for it. It's a poor man's Deer Hunter. I'd rate it 3/10.
