One of the books that I'm glad I read before I saw the film was Clockwork Orange. The film has such a distinctive look that it's hard to get it out of your head.

    Grindhouse

I want to see this. It looks like its in the same vein as From Dusk Till Dawn. Imho Tarantino hasn't impressed me since Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction and Rodriguez, though I liked Sin City, El Mariachi and Desperado were better.

Does anyone still want Tarantino's war movie?

I was just going to mention how could he have missed Reservoir Dogs! Did more than one great film. I've enjoyed most of his movies so far, so naturally I will be seeing whatever he does next. He takes bits from all over but still makes them his own films.

    Dune

The 2 TV mini-series mentioned above are very good, despite being shot entirely in a studio in Prague with a multi-national cast.

    The Oscars....

But it's so perfect for the character in the context of the movie - his inability to openly express his true feelings.

Ok, condemn me if you like, but Shaun of the Dead was just...ok for me. Different, but ok. LOVED, simply LOVED Hot Fuzz, laughed my socks off. A whole, heck of lot more my cup of tea! The entire audience was in stitches. Fabulous!
