Agreed. Though sometimes this can work in reverse too. There are some songs that have such stupid lyrics that it starts to effect my enjoyment of the music. I'm perfectly fine with the good music + passable lyrics equation though.

A. Agree, the lyrics, B. To me from note 1, even the spoken work intro, of track 1 "Yes", I was pulled in. A nice melodic but punchy yet laid-in-the-groove linear guitar line over a nice rhythm, with an odd beat in the phrase to boot, leading into a nice melodic verse and what's he singing...

I'm not so sure about it being on [as], but I agree on the in-jokes and adult situations part, those elements alone were one of the reasons why I got attracted to the series in the first place. (Shugo/Me grips both his hanRAB and prays that FUNimation get the license)
