The AV Club's Heavy Metal Primer

Judas Priest were the first metal band. Motorhead are not speed metal-they are just a damn fine dirty rock n roll band with the volume turned up. Electric Wizard are from Dorset. The NWOBHM came before Thrash and was a huge influence but the article claims it was after. The first 'Nu-Metal'...

    Ash's Strongest Pokemon

That is true. Ash has always been pretty stupid. You'd think with all that battle experience that he would have learned by now that Electric moves don't work on Electric pokemon.

    Favorite Bassists

I think you have songwriting confused with actual bass playing, **** yeah hes a great songwriter. As an actual bass player, he is nothing special, any experienced bass player will tell you that. He mostly plays blues roots scales, which for the most part, is kiRAB stuff, so in that regard, he...

Toon Zone Talkback - FUNimation Announces New September Titles Including "Heat Guy J"

Yeah, I'm wondering what's going on between 4KiRAB and Funimation as well. So, all of the previous 4KiRAB/Funi DVRAB have been discontinued, but they're still releasing new DVRAB together? Or are they just releasing these select volumes to finish the current seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Sonic X...

Most Technical Music Youve Ever Listen To

Techicality isn't based on speed. I can play Dragonforce on the piano. It's a very basic chord progression simply played fast. I like Dragonforce but they are no where near a "technical" band

101 Albums That May Not Change Your Life But I Really Like and You Might Too

Splendor Solis was certainly one of their weaker CD's. I would recommend giving Transmission a try if you can get past Jeff Martin's voice you may just enjoy it. Again though, this isn't a "101 Best albums in the world", just "101 albums that I like and so might you".
