If you don't mind the display on your standby screen, you could set a daily/weekly recurring event in your calender with an alarm. Calendar alarms vibrate. That's the only solution I can think of off the top of my head.

As far as I'm aware, the wired 360 controller should work with a PC too. So long as you have the right drivers. The play & charge kit doesn't work with the PC though as it still communicates through the wireless and only uses the USB ports power to charge the battery.

Things could change. When I was on the 360 preorder list microsoft cut the amount and I had to wait over a month to get mine even though I had preordered months in advance. I ended up having to wait at walmart to get it that night.
