What was the first film you ever saw on VHS?

A friend of mine had a monstrously huge and heavy Sony Betamax in 1981 and we went into town so he could buy his first pre-recorded tape for it. He chose 'Alien'. The quality was piss poor and it cost him over

Anyone excited about the Dark Tower movies and TV crossovers?

I was discussing casting of this with a friend who's currently reading the last book. Clint Eastwood was who Stephen King based Roland on, obviously Clint is a bit too old, or is he? Aaron Paul should play Eddie Dean (Jesse from Breaking bad)

    Thought they were dead?

I was surprised to see Tommy Steel on the One Show last night as (whilst I didn't think of him that often) I thought he was dead. No idea why he should be, he's only 73 after all, but my mind had filed him under deceased. :o

Cineworld Staff Must Feel Like Complete Idiots!

This made me remember Jasper Carrott. he pointed out how awful it must be for the Crystal Palace players. They're at the bottom of the league because they can't score and they have "Virgin" on their shirts. :D

Cloverfield 2 - What do you want to see?

I prefer SF to horror, so I'd like to see an explanation of where the monster came from, how the parasites were able to survive both above and below water, etc. And a plausible account of how they deal with it. (Probably they should herd it out of the city so it stops destroying valuable buildings.)

    Avatar ??

Not being rude, but that means nothing; Brendon Routh was up for multiple superman films for example. It's basically so he can't hold 'em up for more money if they decide they want a sequel.
