    I don't think Monster is great, but i like the overall "feel" of it. On the plus side, a couple of the songs were really awesome. Strange Currencies, What's the Frequency Kenneth?, and Circus Envy are some of my favorite latter-day R.E.M. tunes.

    I guess I never really thought of it in that way before. Yeah, I suppose if a band has on the whole terrible material then they render themselves a bad band. In terms of stopping, I meant from a creative standpoint. But then, of course that's being idealistic.
