Over rated: Pretty much any rap-rock and nu-metal was over rated in its time. Gorillaz, Neutral Milk Hotel is agreeable over hyped, Nirvana (decent band but didn't do as much as they get credit for), and NIN. Under rated: Siege, Joy Division, Camel, The Birthmarks, pretty much any Mike Patton...

Singles collections i find are pretty useful, especially with banRAB who release a lot of singles which aren't on an album. Buzz****s - Singles Going Steady pops into my mind as being a fine compilation. I personally adore compilations like The Smiths - Hatful Of Hollow and Louder Than Borabs...

There might be another surprise or two. Don't forget about that clue that could also only really fit Evangelion.
