How exactly are TV rating figures calculated/obtained?

I don't think any of the top-rated shows of all time were soaps or reality, they were either sport or national events like a state funeral. And the national grid is a good guide - they can tell you how many people nipped out to make a cuppa at the end of a popular programme.

Sequels that should of happened and never did

I'm surprised we never saw an 'ET 2', not that I think it would have been a good idea to make a sequel.

    Have you come across

I'm in the same boat as you! Billable Hours is an awesome show, and it is a shame that it does not have much exposure on the internet. I had never heard of the show, but came across it while flipping channels. As a result, I DL'd S1 and S2, and very much enjoyed it! I've only been able to find...

Worst reviewed movies of the decade

I actually quite liked Good Luck Chuck. But then my taste in movies is surprisingly bad. Was surprised that Norbit wasn't there. Haven't seen it but there seemed to be a serious amount of hatred around for it at the time.

United States of arrogance and anti-British Hollywood

The Americans also recovered an Enigma machine from a German sub. At the end of the movie it goes on to explain the actual history of Enigma captures. The movie was not an attempt to take anything away from anyone, nor was the story meant to be based on one particular true and actual event.

    IPT and Demonoid being "watched?"

The copyright letters thing is true, some friends have got a few over the years. Personally, I don't care. I'm an avid Ipt user and it doesn't matter if I get a letter or not, I'll just keep on seeding. :)

    Rude people in movie theatres...

On the same note, a bunch of giggly girls and a cpl of boys were in the same performance as us when we watched Pirates 3. Someone got up and complained and they were read the riot act by the cinema staff. I was most impressed. Maybe cinemas realise they are losing a lot of custom by ppl being...
