This happens in Shoujo manga a lot. I wish they would dim down on all these little arrows and cliff notes explaining obvious information the reader knows. For example: a girl is wearing a wrinkled dress and looking exhausted in one panel and there's arrows pointing out every single detail on her...

True...but think of how much is out there to replace it. We can't make everyone like the same thing.

I've always told myself I'd have Untitled #1 by Sigur Ros at my funeral, but I'm still not certain that would be my choice.

Rap can have some good points about it, and can sometimes have alot of meaning, but alot of the times its too fast too understand. Im sure alot of people like it, but my personal opinion is that I don't like it as much as I like other styles of music

Yes they did. But instead of putting all their good stuff on one or two albums they spread it out over many, hence never having one above-average album, but plenty of good songs.
