I find CGI more convincing when it's used for locations & robots. When it's used to create organic characters it usually looks more obvious.

All you would need to do is use a packet sniffer to examine what it sends out, and emulate it.

Although the film was entertaining enough, it wasn't what I was expecting Trailers and reviews made it out to be "feel-good" and upbeat when it wasn't!
