The first time I watched Dawn of the Dead (as I was only 12 at the time :rolleyes: ) scared the living begesus out of me. But since then probably Blair Witch and The McPherson Tapes (Very similar to Blair Witch but with aliens) :eek:

must point out that it does take a lot to scare me and I also worked out the twist to sixth sense within the 1st few minutes of the film as well - which my husband couldn't believe

Dont know if anyone else just heard this on Richard and Judy, but tomorrow they are discussing exactly this! The two they mentioned were Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins, and Michael Caine in the Cider House Rules. Worth a watch I think!

The picture and sound quality in the major chain cinemas(Odeon, Vue, UGC, Cineworld,etc) is usually pretty good nowadays. Only a couple of times does it go bad in my opinion. Sometimes the filmstock is scratched badly and comes out on the projection(it can be just normal wear and tear)...

Aliens was an example of a sequel that took the original concept, did something different with it and produced a film as good as the original, but for different reasons. It certainly didn't surpass the quality of Alien, though.
