Yeah, pretty much sums up the facts. People would say Quagmire should get his own show just because amongst the cast of Family Guy because he was more popular then Cleveland. So saying "Quagmire deserves his own show" is biased. Eventually people will move on from saying that.

Oh, I loved that kind of stuff as a kid, but you didn't really see it on kids' TV aside from Nickelodeon, which was the "rebel" channel back then. I'd think kids would be less interested if potty jokes were part of "the establishment" now.

I haven't had any problem watching those older cartoons. For instance, Smurfs, The Real Ghostbusters and Captain N for instance, they're no Gargoyles, DC Animated Universe or Futurama, but they're still harmless fun.
