I have been through the Rogers facilities several times, through the CBC facilities, mainframe facilities and several server farms. What was interesting was how clean and neat the Bell facilities were. No cables laying around, floors were clear, no dangling wires. Very impressive.

fuzzyQball, three comments. It's ExpressVu not ExpressView Why not just use Google? there is a search box at the top of this page! What the heck is wrong with this site? I doubt you'll find many with more ExpressVu information on it but then I guess I'm biased.

Cons of 2nd dish: The ugly factor and you have to run extra cables which also can be unsightly and you have the cost of running more RG6 and you have to do more work!

I'm not an ExpressVu customer so I don't know the policies but this seems silly. Charging loyal customers who have completed their contracts a $75 fee to essentially return to the fold seems like a great way to lose customers!

I am getting a number of emails from people who think Digital Home is ExpressVu asking what to do with their new smartcard so I am assuming lots are going out these days. (for those wondering, I get emails daily from people who think Digital Home is Rogers, Bell, Shaw etc!)

I'm not sure why they never went MPEG4. My guess is fibre. I think Bell is now trying to spend their capital dollars on increasing IPTV penetration and that satellite tv will whither. Bell TV doesn't make a truckload of money but fibre could. Bell has lost a lot of business to the cable...
