My bike don't have cruise to begin with. I got used to losing the 6th gear lite. No biggy at all (except for the first few weeks). I do have a sert, and I can get the update - but haven't had the time or ambition to play with it. Low priority to me. Maybe this winter.

You're right, I estimated I had roughly 2000 km left to go and was well within that and kept riding I did to shorter trips. Thanks for the implication, but I'm neither an idiot or someone who takes safety lightly. There are enough of those on the roads already.

I usually stay above 2500 and don't use 6th gear unless over 70 mph.
