I enjoy being able to see a complete plot in a single episode. That way, I could see any episode and not feel lost. I do however also enjoy 2-part episodes. Anything longer than that might as well be a TV movie.

If I were creating a more mature animated series I would put extreme emphasis on strong storytelling and characters. In the end that is what really matters and makes a series memorable. I think somewhere down the line adult got eqauted with, making a series as dark and grim as possible, loading...
