Jim, Thanks for your response. I tried doing a soft reset after the lock-up, however, it just locks up again when I try the next sync. Each time it locks up at the Tasks sync. and refuses to go any further. The only solution I have found is to do a hard reset which then appears to clear things...

N80 is among the best in the RF department. Especially with the latest firmware (as of May Day 2007). The N90 was not bad, but the N80 definitely is better. In all honesty the only phone that compares to the N80 is an old Sagem I had back home.

realisticly the gps on the bb8800 blows since it's internal it has to be mounted in the car and you have to pay your phone provider to use telenav to use the 3d map and turn by turn. i'd would go for the e61i and get a bluetooth antenna and load up a gps software and the only edge the bb has...

I'm looking for the cheapest 3G phone that will work in North America and in Japan. 2 megapixel camera and external memory would be nice, but all I really need is 3G and GSM. I do have a preference for Japanese phones, but again, really just want something cheap and basic.
