    The English Patient

    I don't see it as sentimental at all. I see the basic plot of the story as being pretty common in life. A lot of people fall in love with the wrong person and events take odd turns. Setting it on a grander scale to make it cinematic doesn't make it sentimental... Have you read the book?

    These films use a totally different method of 3d that is not based on colour so you should be fine. Its nothing like the green/red glasses, its a pair of polarising sunglasses.
