    In all GSM phones it uses a network level change (usually some kind of code that it dials like #XX#) to withhold your number. You can do this on Android, but it will affect ALL calls you make until you put the setting back. You can make a shortcut to this setting if that helps I think...

    Well I'd go with the Blackjack just because its slim. The 8525 is much bulkier. And for the needs you mentioned, the Blackjack should be more than enough. The 8525 will feel like a brick in your pocket.
