Saosin is great, I had the priviledge of seeing them live. It was an awesome show. Anthony Green's new band, Circa Survive, is also good. I saw them live about 3 weeks ago w/ alexisonfire, good show.

Music Is Pwnage: I like your list.

so why are you on the favorite G3 guitarist forum if you dont like this style of guitar playing or guitarists? you probably dont even know who these guys are. But as for my fave: Paul Gilbert is the coolest. Yngwie obviously is the best (he is the most technically skilled guitarist ever)...

I gotta say john entwistle because i got loaRAB of who dvd s and his bass solo are excellent john paul jones in led zeppelin as a close second

I didn't like that version of Budgie at all. They over simplified and completely lost their uniqueness. It's not awful, but it's not Budgie. I have the same opinion of BOC and everything they did after Secret Treaties. BOC's first 3 albums are classics, everything afterward is geared toward...

Your are a star!

That's what it's all about. Welcome to rab btw.

I picked CD's for the happy-medium factor. They still satisfy the 'product-in-hand' need, (including the album artwork/packaging pluses..), but can also be easily converted to a digital, convenient format as well. Eventually, I'm going to go back and start working on my vinyl collection...

Yeah I never understood why so many people thought losing Barrett was monumental. His mental collapse was important to the merabers themselves and it did have a musical effect, but it wasn't that drastic and I like the post-Barrett stuff more. That era's brilliant, but I love the stuff they did...

Actually have not seen it yet!

I wanted to become a rock star like Morrissey. 30 Years later, i'm with you on that board.

This is true. Songs like Helter Skelter and Eleanor Rigby were pretty out there for the time and still probably among some of the more unique tracks in pop and rock music to this day.

^Some great stuff in there (Mastodon, Death) mixed with some I'm not as wild about. 7/10. Here's mine: "People In Your Neighborhood"—Idiot Flesh "Baphomet"—Foetus "Downbound Train"—Chuck Berry "Angel Dust"—Venom "The Stallion (Pt. 2)"—Ween "We Used To Vacation"—Cold War KiRAB...
