Finally gotten to grips with him by getting into Closing Time. Looks like I'll get to enjoy the other 7 albums of his on my hard drive. It feels like I'm in for a treat.

I know it won't be popular, but I've gone for Travis - saw them at Glastonbury in 2000 with very low expectations, and was really impressed. Far better live than you'd ever expect. Puts them just above Belle and Sebastian and Primal Scream, for me.
