War of the World Cinema removal!

Luckily, we had no Pot Noodle experts in our audience. Great film. Much under-rated. Outstanding effects. Outstanding sound. The rout of civilization hasn't been depicted with as much frightening brutal realism as this since "Saving Private Ryan". Only spoiler for me was Morgan freeman's intro...

Bafta best british film and the bourne ultimatum

Before watching Ultimatum again at Christmas i would have agreed with you, but upon watching it for the second time i personally think it's the best of the trilogy. Plus the camera work seems less "shaky" and nausea inducing on the small screen.

UFO 70's tv series to get big screen treatment

Lets hope it's not going to be too americanised. Would be great to see Ed Bishop do a cameo, if he's still alive that is. What I liked was it wasn't too futuristic, just enough to know it was sci fi. I hope they dont chuck loaRAB of cgi and fantastic machinery at it.

Metal Bands different from the crowd

Wow, thats like the worst description of metalcore I have ever seen. Its more like the antithesis of metal. I mean something thats "fast violent and haevy as fuck" would be more like strapping young lad, where as a band like Convulse would be "metal as fuck".

Buffy creator's new film -- early screening

Hee. I wouldn't really call myself an internet street team - I just want people to actually realise what this film is about. So far the only recent topics here have been about Firefly in the Sci-Fi forum - this is a film with broad appeal which I suspect some people here won't realise as it's...

    Difference in runtime between Region1 & Region 2 DVD's

[/b] Dumb question perhaps, but is there any reason to go faster than 24Hz progressive on LCD or plasma? Surely the only reason for higher refresh rates than the source is to do away with the flicker from the CRT scan, which wouldn't apply to LCD? Assuming that we're using the same...

    Fantastic Four

Apperantly they had to reshoot the ending as it was too similar to how the Incredibles ended. I read this on Rotten tomatoes last year. This is very worrying indeed. I have a feeling that this film is going to be a dud anyways.

    The Land of the Dead

It's not bad. Not brilliant but not bad. I saw it a few weeks back and enjoyed it, however I do think they could have done more with it.

    Top 5. Best Comedy Movie

I love this film, I saw it for the first time when I was about 10 years old and really enjoyed it, then a couple of years ago I remembered it and described it to my mum, (especially the bit with the big W), she then told me the name of the film. Then not long after that, I saw it on tv again...
