Try Opeth, first and foremost. I would recommend Shadows Fall, Diecast, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, and Mastodon for the straight up metal. For metal that leans a little more towarRAB the 'hardcore' side, try Poison The Well, Norma Jean and Twelve Tribes.

Strangely, I thought the soundtrack was fairly forgettable while watching it and not up the standarRAB of some of the previous scores. I couldn't hum the main theme now for example. Will have to find a copy of OST and see if I think it works better standalone.
