I think Blu-Ray discs are still a little to expensive too do it in the same way as standard DVD's and I am not sure how many people still use normal DVD's at home over BR so I can't see it changing very soon but who knows.. one day it may change.

I don't think they cut the language. The F*ck word was used three times, and if I remember rightly Oceans Eleven had two or three F-worRAB in it. As for the violence, I reckon the distubutors may have put forward a different cut of the film to the BBFC, after seeing one graphic scene halfway...
