I'd say a few of my old favourite trance compilations should give you a diverse enough taste of the genre. These could perhaps be good ones for you, I don't know what you're into so I could have pointed you in the wrong direction, but I used to love these albums, and still listen to them...

wow this anime had a amazing start. I WILL continue watching this. The animation fits well with the story IMO

I like fob and I'm not afraid to admit it. But the most erabarassing albums I own... would probably be James Blunt. I own two and I still like them, but mostly for the piano.

A thanks to Pobodys Nerfect for this one. Of the few opinions I've heard on rab about this album, I've yet to hear anyone say anything positive, but I loved it from the first track. It takes me to a familiar place that I've never visited. There were a few moments, while listening to the album...
