    Is it normal for menstrual cycles to suddenly change length?

    My cycle generally lasts 34 days- sometimes 31, sometimes 35, but, in the 18 months I've been reliably tracking, never more than 35. Last month it suddenly went from 34 days to 45. (I panicked a bit, but 2 pregnancy tests says no, and then on the 45 day yay period. It was uncommonly painful...
