Mercury fumes are toxic--you do not get these from mercury vapor lamps--well maybe if you break one but even that would be very minimal. No need to worry.
Sure! take the pork out of the oven and wash it all off. you should wash it well and then just apply the correct rub. Even half way cooked the 95% of this bad rub should still come off. Good Luck
