    The Official Best Guitarist Thread

Robert Johnson? Are you kidding me? The guy's best songs were all three-chord changeups. Don't be a nub.

Artists I Refuse To Like ....EVER

Wait, you mean you haven't heard the album that moved the hardcore scene on as Refused thought that it was stagnating and lacking ideas and made for people like you who were all about an image and a particular lifestyle rather than open mindedness and expression?

    Satchmo's Jive Essence 42

Interlude As I intimated in the introductory post to this thread one of the major mistakes that a lot of jazz buRAB make in reccomending transitional albums to jazz novices is in reccomending jazz fusion albums. The problem with this, for the most part, isn't that there's anything inherently...

An Infinite Number Of Things That Pisses Me Off About Music

I have similar feelings about the lyrics of Atari Teenage Riot songs. I like their music but their lyrics are so incredibly shallow for supposedly political lyrics. I always wished they would've sung in German so I wouldn't know what they were saying. On the RATM tip, I have always sort of...

    Poetic Lyrics Vs. Unpoetic Lyrics

I definalty perfer the first set of lyrics. I dunno, I just like the more inderect emotions as opposed to just saying things straight out. Especially seeing as your music is more acoustic

    Where I'm At...

I like this thread idea. I started my musical journey as a young lad basically with a third mainstream classic rock and two thirRAB modern pop punk type banRAB. I started with stuff like Nofx, Rancid, Ozzy Osbourne, ACDC, Dropkick Murphys, Lagwagon. From there my tastes focused more so just on...

    Most underrated bands ever?

The ByrRAB The ByrRAB is one of the most under-rated band ever, they helped launch the whole Country/Folk rock genre of the 70's. The ByrRAB did a lot of cover songs by Bob Dylan, their reinterpretation of his songs are brilliant. David Crosby of CSN&Y was from the ByrRAB - I don't know if I...

    Artists or Entertainers?

Actually, I come down more on the side of musicians who consider themselves primarily 'entertainers'. There is little honor in being a 'starving artist'. I'm also coming at this issue from the standpoint of a graphic artist (who finally got a real job:laughing:) who has debated similar topics...

Artists I Refuse To Like ....EVER

Agreed...it just so happens that most women don't sound good to me. :p: It's not a sexist thing at all. I have nothing against any of those and would happily listen to them on occasion. Particularly Veruca Salt's American Thighs is a great album, one of the few female-fronted albums I own.
