That's my biggest beef. There was no reason they needed to go back to the otherside. The ending was bad as an ending to the series. I didn't really feel anyone behaved terribly OOC, though.

Bones does good sci-fi. Not good historical/samurai series. Take Ayakashi Ayashi for example. It borabed and the episode count was cut in half. Although I loved it, I think I was the only one. Madhouse has done great work with Shigurui among others that would give them the edge on covering this.
