I quite liked the film personally. One of my favourite big monster films. I like the fact it isn't cliched with a rousing speach from the army mid-way through and doesn't have unncessary plot twists.

That is one of my favourite films - love the soundtrack, script and memories attached to it. I remember when it first came out and Peter Duncan on Blue Peter spoke about it. I have the soundtrack album and I really must buy the film. I don't have a Blu-Ray player though - VHS or DVD.
