i dont personally like velvet revolver that much. i like slash tho. him with gnr were really good. hes not the best guitarist in the world, but he made some simple stuff sound really good with gnr.

I got to say that I actually liked that, although it gets kind of old after a while. I would like to see that style mixed with some other more accessible stuff. It just doesn't stand well on its own for me. Although I can see myself warming up to this kind of stuff in the future, it just might...

Joy Division were one of the very best Post Punk banRAB who influenced a whole slew of banRAB and rightfully so but I also think that this album with with it's emphasis on riRAB and structure is just as important an album in influencing banRAB whilst still being very listenable:

This album is really a grower, as his voices quirks (ie the ups and downs and the little yelps here and there) really start to sink in after 3 to 4 listens, and you can finally concentrate on the beautiful lyricism. The extra instrumentation is an amazing highlight, too. "Sweet Thing" wouldn't...
