Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights - "I Am Keeping You Here"

Yup, Mike Boorem is very pretty and a good actress. I liked her in Blue Crush - she played Kate Bosworth's sister in a good role. I heard that Patrick was going to be back - yay! Thanks for confirming it. BTW, if you click on the trailers - the "small" and "large" ones are the teaser. The...

The Illusionist (Aug. 18) - Norton, Biel, Giamatti

I really enjoyed this! I love the way it was filmed, with the iris shots opening and closing, and the grainy detail. Very beautiful. The score was lovely as well. Edward never ceases to amaze me. I've loved him in Everyone Says I Love You, The Score, Keeping the Faith, Fight Club, and here was...

"If you're so depressed, how come you're eating pizza?" - Movie Board Club #9

I saw Equilibrium a few nights ago, and I ed it! Christian Bale is one of the most (if not THE most) underrated, overlooked actor ever. He's so intelligent about his acting, his mastery of the craft. I'd highly recommend the movie. It's somewhat like Star Wars in that it's slightly amateurish...

Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights - "I Am Keeping You Here"

Well, I actually wasn't a big fan of the first movie. I mean, I liked it, it was all right. It had nice music, and a good cast. But I wasn't in love with it. I think Havana Nights looks much more hip and edgy - plus, I love Diego, Romola, Sela, Jonathan, and Mika. The music looks like it will...

    The Prestige

I'd love to read it as well. I went to see The Illusionist tonight and the trailer for The Prestige was attached. Gah. It looks so brilliant. :D

    Freedom Writers

I saw a test screening of this when I was in LA over the summer, and it was amazing. I highly recommend everyone see it, it shocks you, makes you laugh, cry, get mad. All of the kids were great, and so is Hilary Swank. It's not like "all the other movies", this one is the real deal.

Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights - "I Am Keeping You Here"

I saw it! I saw it! It's very cute and fun! I mean, I'm not a big DD fan in the first place, so I don't feel like there's this big thing with it and the origial. I thought it was really funny and cute and HOT. Damn, Diego Luna is soooo good-looking, a good actor, and boy, can that guy dance...

    10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

Haha, I LOVE this movie. Seriously, when I rented it, I watched it ten times in a row. I really like the parallels of the couples Patrick/Kat and Cameron/Bianca. :)

    Baz Luhrmann Appreciation

I just think Baz is so progressive as a director. He really tries to take a different spin on the genre. And you know, he's just plain fun.

    Baz Luhrmann Appreciation

Thanks. I was watching MR today, and I had to stop it right after the tango, because I was going to meet my friends. I was just thinking, damn Christian has bad timing. He should have gone to Paris in 1898...then he could've had a year with the woman of his dreams before she died. Sheesh...

    Baz Luhrmann Appreciation

I do! Believe me, I'll keep posting here! I Baz. He is truly a genius! He's funny, charming, inspirational, smart, crafty, everything! He was great on "The View", when he and Nicole were promoting Moulin Rouge. MR, SB, and R+J are all simply BRILLIANT and totally awesome. I have MR on DVD and...

Strong Women Characters in Films/ Which Ones Have Them?

My favorite strong woman character is, by far, Scarlett O'Hara from Gone with the Wind. She was manipulative, conniving, rude, and spoiled, but she was also independent, spirited, passionate, and caring.

Closer - Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Julia Roberts

Gah, I can't wait for this movie! The trailer at www.apple.com/trailers is so awesome. I love the music, too. Damien Rice and Suzanne Vega. :D The play is so good, too. :glow:

    Love Me If You Dare

I think in some ways the point of the story was that they didn't grow up, they stayed with that game until the end. They realized that either way - growing old or dying in cement, that they would end up together. I choose to believe that in a way it doesn't matter which way they end up, because...
