All last gen consoles had mod chips, it didn't kill any of them because only a small minority could get them or knew about them. Only the Dreamcast died because it required no custom firmware or mod chips to play pirated games so developers and big publishers wouldn't support it like EA.

They need to make it like the Truman show of wars. Stick a few thousand satellites up in space and monitor every damn movement, catalog, film it and study it. Make it into a mini series on war and then a dozen or so video games on the conflict. j/k war isn't nice but it is interesting
