    Winx Club is back!?

I noticed that too. I think it has something to do with contract expirations / nullifications. IIRC, Winx Club was developed SPECIFICALLY for 4Kids Fox. Since fox failed to follow through with their agreements with 4Kids, 4Kids broke off their relation with Fox. 4Kids may have finally got the...

Frosty The Snowman / Frosty Returns (Talkback)

Not a big fan of his, I take it? I like him just fine, but I definately see why his personality can be grating.

With the State of [as] Anime, would Syfy be wise to move to Saturdays?

But if anime moves to Saturday, where will masterpieces such as Mansquito go?

    Sherlock Holmes in animation

In the late 1970s, there were four animated adaptations of the four Doyle novels (A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of Four, the Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Valley of Fear) with the voice of Peter O'Toole. Count Duckula had a Sherlock Holmes character (drawn like Basil Rathbone's modernized...

Family Guy - "The Former Life of Brian" - Talkback [4/27]

Well then how about Drawn Together having Zelda-parody character dedicated to the gay stereotype. Matt and Dave could just be making a joke about Link, it doesn't mean they have disdain for the games or gays. I think you guys are looking way too into this Monty Phython joke. For all you guys...

The Simpsons - "Pranks and Greens" - Talkback [11/22]

Overall it was good. Bart being the focus (and the serious one!) for a change was nice, and Lisa sure loves the word "Loser". Loved the ribbing of those who eat only organic foods and are self-righteous about it (the Midday Mommies).

    Underrated Animated Films

I don't think "The Secret Of NIMH" gets enough credit. It is just as good as Disney classics but is nowhere near as appreciated.

I SWEAR I heard that in a non adult toon.

There's a PPG episode called Forced Kin.

The Simpsons - "Angry Dad: The Movie" - Talkback [2/20]

Eh, this had lots of amusing individual moments, but it was far too disjointed to enjoy as a whole. IMO, the best joke was Homer coming over the speaker phone at the table read, which is a reference to Harry Shearer doing table reads over a speaker phone. This felt like a bunch of sketches...

    Atheist Cartoon Characters

If I recall correctly, Brian was talking about the physical Universe which in itself is pretty spectacular to just look at through a telescope and try to grasp the shear magnitude of existence. Besides Family Guy is played for comedy anyways, it's usually funny to place complete opposites with...

Differences between Canadian and U.S. censors

Odd, Nickelodeon has no problem saying any of those words during the day on some of their shows. That's another thing with censorship, different channels have different rules. Nickelodeon seems to allow the most content in their shows out of the three main players going by this example.

    Monster High cartoon adaption?

I bumped this thread up because it is October when Halloween specials come on. I wonder if they will do a Monster High Halloween special. Weather or not they ever do a series, they have to do a Halloween special? And do this year, it could be a unoffical pilot.

    What do people want?

That I can see, kids today have been brought up on so many shows that shove 'shippyness' down their throats, they don't know any other way and assume that everything ought to be that way. Uh-uh. Romance is nice and all, but, as a wise man once said, let's put things in perspective; there are...

    Best cartoon era for kids

Definately when I was younger, to me it was and still is the epitome of cartoons, so basically the 90s until about 2004-05.

Blog Talkback: What's Wrong with Disney Feature Animation? - Parts 1 and 2

Its not Disney's fault for Patf, personally its just the people who are seeing movies these days and the days when the movies are coming out. That being said then done, Disney should at least realize by now that if you keep repeating yourself in anything your just gonna lose an audience. Now I...
