I also just got off the phone with a T-Mobile rep, the 2nd one. who states my current $19.99 plan will work with the 3G network and I will have visual voicemail. So I guess time will tell once my phones arrives. I was told once I had an unlimited internet package it will work just fine.

Do the IOTA bypass per Tony's instructions. That is likely the problem. Sometimes you have to do that on Alltel's and Sprint's Also make sure the network code and country code is 310 and 00. I would also make sure the reg id is 2004

It may be because it was orginally an Alltel phone. The software is not the same as Verizon. Plus, the Motorola phones I have messed with on the Verizon network have been different than just about any of the other phones. You have to save the ringtone as a sound and then it will not accept...

I always say to try GSM Phone Source. I have had great experience with them in unlocking two of my BBs. For Rogers they charge US$59 to unlock. GSM Phone Source I would suggest them, but if you can find something cheaper and feel you can trust whomever you are dealing with try them.
