I haven't seen the film but I've got to say that Benicio Del Toro was perfect casting. He just has such a similar look to Lon Chaney Jr as Larry Talbot. I think it's the sad droopy eyes.

Also i think what makes this film is that it has a great supporting cast which dont get the recognition they deserve like Lorraine Bracco (Karen),Frank Sivero (Frankie Carbone) etc.... Another point to mention is that when ever it comes on tv. it drawns you in and you end up watching until the end.

I don't think you can say that T2 is 'without question' better. They're both very good films, and in many ways, T2 is effectively a remake of Terminator. The major differences between the pair are $100+ million and the fact that fashions in T2 have aged a lot better.
