I've always been miffed by how the media does things like this, but I think there's a good reason for it. For one, kids want to watch shows about kids. They want to watch shows about people their age doing things. But what kids do at their age just isn't as interesting as what older kids do...

I've seen it used a lot either in cases where someone falls down from a certain height, or gets beat up by someone (usually a stock muscleman or bully). In both cases, saying "I'm OK" is horribly unfunny. Unless, of course, the character is seen to be obviously in terrible condition...

I sure hope not. Palm OS is still (or at least was until about v5.2.8) the most efficient and least drilled-down OS. Why else would Windows require twice the CPU to run half the speed of Palm OS?

I think they really still find it funny, they just like to complain. My brother sometimes complains about The Simpsons not being any good anymore, but sure enough, when a new episode comes on, he'll laugh.
