I think people miss the point of Escape from LA. It's not a sequel it's a virtual shot for shot remake. Viewed as such it's a hoot.

One of the best was The Omega Man with Charlton Heston. The video transfer is superb, but the sound is not great. Very similar in screenplay to I Am Legend.
