I've not seen the film so I may be wrong, but based on various articles on both men I'm tempted to think that Bush gives propoganda on the one side, and Moore gives it on the other..... maybe the truth lies somewhere inbetween....??

Suffice to say, you're not missing much with the alternative ending. It takes place at a party, has parallels with something that happens earlier in the film and, if they had gone with this version, it would have given all those who have criticised 'Titanic' for its corniness perfect...
