    Language Learning - Educational Trackers?

Rosetta Stone is quite good. It provides you a fully specific language environment by showing pictures with explanations, pronounciation as well.

Can you recommend any old films?

I highly recommend films with the lovely James Stewart, particularly the Philadelphia Story, Rear Window, Harvey, It's a Wonderful Life and Vertigo. Other favourites (and I think have been mentioned by other posters) include: - A Streetcar named Desire - Breakfast at Tiffany's, - Roman...

    Spellbound and other Hitchcock movies

Frenzy is a fine who-dun-it, but the rape/strangulation scene in the office is very voyeuristic and nasty and unworthy of Hitch. Dila M For Murder is good too.

HDbits.org , New rule .. good users are not allowed

I don't understand why this old topic is still active. I think that this topic was created for a year ago. I didn't read all the posters through.

Worst advert on TV at the moment (Part 4)

For an ad that completely missed the point: MTV ran a competition promoting the film "Easy A" that told entrants to "start their own rumour"....despite the fact "Easy A" is about what nasty results starting rumours about people can have. Next week, MTV will run a competition for "the...

    Blocknews 100GB/$20 or Astraweb 120GB/$25?

Blocknews is a Highwinds reseller. I've used Highwinds (not through Blocknews) and Astraweb. One thing about Astraweb that makes them fairly unique in the usenet provider business is that their tech support team does not work on weekends, so it can take several days for you to get an email reply...

    Newsdemon anniversary special

I should have quoted the original post, which he now edited. The original post said 6 months. It is a good deal if you only need 2 months of usenet.

    Cross Seeding

Saw that guide too a while ago :) All I can say is that the two .torrent-files I got from the 2 different trackers did not have the same name, but the content of the file I downloaded was identical. UT didn't ask me anything, just made it another torrent right away. Have checked the 2 trackers...

@ benficao Sure your ISP doesn't use a proxy ? Suppose it's unlikely if you're a seasoned torrenter, but I gotta ask !

    BitmeTV massively banned uTorrent version

"Due to a SERIOUS exploit with Windows and uTorrent, all versions of uTorrent after 1.8.2 (14458) are banned except for the latest, uTorrent 2.0.4 (21586)." Your version is between 1.8.2 (14458) and 2.0.4 (21586). That would be a yes in my book, you have to update.

    Married, Single, Other

I'm still watching and still enjoying it. I didn't know about the smell of burning rubber and brain tumours so that didn't sink in until the end. Like others have said, I wasn't that comfortable with the cling film bits. It's not in the same league as Cold Feet but easy watching, specially...
