Ugh.. Creative Writing.. Extremely disappointed by that one, couldn't take it any more and switched back to Sociology/Cultural Studies. The last straw was when my tutor made note that my haiku didn't adhere to strict 5-7-5 count, yet in the next sentence stated that I must understand syllable...

    House of the Devil

Indeed he was and a sight scarier than Ralph Fiennes' version in the decidedly inferior Red Dragon. Also played Cain in Robocop 2 and is currently in Damages as a creepy (what else?) detective.

    If they remade the Labyrinth...

I agree. I think its one film that REALLY should never be remade. In a way Bowie was the POINT of it. No one else could be play the Bowie part. It just wouldn't be Labyrinth. No go wash out your brain with soap for thinking of it :D ;)

What is it with crappy horror remakes?

^^^ You get a decent enough horror film (usually from Asia) and a couple of years later the Americans remake it into a piece of crap. They are all the same. Same film techniques, same twists, same style of actors. It may not just be the Americans fault. It may be the genre in general has...

Just watched Twilight and now I'm hooked..

I can see what the appeal is, although it is hard to explain to someone who isn't willing to give it a chance. My boyfriend took me to see the first movie and I was convinced I would detest it (I thought the trailer was ridiculous). But I was hooked after having watched it. I then read all the...

    Films that make you cry

Oh yes, that's almost unbearably sad in so many places. The bit that gets to me though, is the end, where the boy's learning to ride a bike, and calls Mr Tom 'Dad' for the first time. John Thaw's performance is just incredible in this, and he's sadly missed. Other personal tear jerkers: The...
