I don't really care for any stock sound effect, but one I can't stand is "children laughing". I've heard it a million times in both comedic and serious works, and in any of those it ruins them.

I thought from reading it that it was noise reduction applied to the captured audio, with the purpose of lowering the amount of sound being caputred that is generated by the optical zoom. As it moves around it creates noise and from what I understand this fix somehow tries "dampen" the sound...

knocked up wasnt as funny as i thought it was going to be but i liked the story better than i thought i was going too so it made up for it.
