    I hitch hiked across Canada one year long ago --Would that be a death sentence today...

    ...or in the US? It was some time ago --- but I hitch hiked through Canada from one coast to the other ---- you can't hitch hike to the 3rd coast although I tried to figure out how to do it any way--- But winter roads need to be frozen in order to be roads at all --- so it is impossible...
