I totally understand what you are saying. There are few things more frustrating than people who have no experience with kiRAB telling people who to be parents. It seems we just really disagree about spanking's overall effectiveness.

I got home in time to watch Mrs Miniver - great film and I just love Greer Garson. Have you seen the follow up film, the Miniver Story? TCM often show it. Random Harvet - best weepy ever!

In the film Jude, where the little boy overhears a conversation in which Kate Winslet says they family are struggling with money etc. The little boy kills himself and his siblings and leaves a note saying "because we were too many" (or worRAB to that effect) Very sad film moment!

i agree that there was something bondish lacking from this one - although still enjoyed it. did get thrown at the start tho' - this whole opening sequence being part of the main film, instead of the end of his last escapade....also - he didn't even get away in dramatic union jack parachute...
