    Round up in a spray bottle. Just be sure it's not going to rain in 24 hours and it's not a windy day. Spray only the grass and not the plants. I usually pull out as much as I can by the roots that are growing close to my plants using a weed puller.

    You could dye it using Rit Dye BUT it probably won't come out like you want. I dyed a new scatter rug dark brown by mixing the dye and hot water in a spray bottle and spraying it in the yard. I tried doing an area rug the same way but it didn't turn out.
