The "+1" is for calls to North American Dialing Area numbers. The "1" has to be replaced by the actual country code of the recipient. The "+" shortcut for the International Access Code only works for GSM phones. CDMA phones have to enter the actual code, which is "011" for the United States...

My only concern was that, since VZW is clearly heavily subsidizing the new phone (>$400 vs. $129 - $50 REBATE), they might place restrictions on use or transfer of new phone for certain time period. Is anyone aware of any restrictions in that or any other regard?
