I currently have 2 12" Kicker L5's on a Clarion DPX11551 1600 rms, and i was going to move to 2 12" Alpine Type X's. Im looking more for SPL opposed to SQ. I always have my subs in ported boxes. What are the better subs to go with in SPL?

I am pretty sure i want to get the Power Acoustik LFA1-5500D which pushes out 2500rms at 2 ohm, which i would be doing, but then again, that might be too much wattage for them. That amp costs $250, and i wouldnt want to spend more than that. I could get the lower model of that amp for $160...
